that’s typically how influence works as one making the same art instead of just consuming it…it’s a massive letdown

Listening to all the love to get through the pain I’m experiencing in my reality isn’t a lack of acknowledgment of the pain ye caused to many communities. S*** valentine and I have said terrible things to each other on this site before . I can still hold a conversation with him without hatred .
Ye didn’t do anything that affected my life personally . He did to the Jewish community and other communities that rightfully reacted to his words said .
But nothing dictates we all must react to words and platforming during a manic episode . Many of us were living our lives dealing with our reality
A celebrity can say the sky green that’s out of my control so what am I to do . I already said what he said was bad wrong reprehensible and I’m glad he is medicated
Me listening to all the love or watching his show doesn’t mean I support hate that he spewed
Yeah I feel you. People just want to force their view, plain and simple. Given the circumstances, most reasonable fans of him and his music can give him some grace given all that he has went through, at least considering he has finally committed to his medication. And most reasonable fans should be able to understand why someone would be like “enough is enough I’m done”. Unfortunate for him, but fair.
The problem is when people from that enough is enough crowd want to insult you or try to belittle you for not seeing it that way. They want you to feel like some people are”beyond saving” or that someone should eternally punished for their mistakes, and if you don’t completely agree then you are a lesser person.
While I definitely think there are some things that can’t be excused or explained away (pedos, Diddy, R.Kelly), me personally, I do not put what we know to be true about Kanye’s behavior in that category. There is so much nuance and layers to why that played out like it did. One can be done with him all you they want but I quite literally think that not acknowledging that nuance is some dumb ass s***.
