anyways, i dont get why this dude is rly sitting here crying about this s*** when he's literally partially (if not largely) responsible for why releases arent as "magical" and new stars arent emerging

you have niggas putting out fantastic music that cant even get into the algorithm + niggas who have no passion for this s*** whatsoever payola-ing their way into playlists and leveraging connections

when you prize profit over actual art, what a surprise you get soulless fast food bs and music is all of the sudden no longer that "special" im ranting though

It’s just too easy to listen to music these days. There’s absolutely no reason to listen to the majority of the mid s*** dropping these days when I have access to thousands of classics at my fingertips whenever I want. Only people who pretend most of the stuff dropping today is amazing are kids coping because they want to have something for their generation to call their own. I get it but at the same time I’m not a kid so I’m not going to pretend with them.

Yes and that’s a good thing. Rap being the most popular has been devastating to the genre. Pop should be at the top

  • Oct 18, 2022

Their trying to prepare fans for the RICO charge fest thats gonna go down in ATL soon. Literally telling people "find another genre while you can"

  • Oct 18, 2022

i'd almost agree with him tbh

it was around this time a decade ago EDM pop showed up everywhere so it’s possible

    calvin, guetta. avicii, SHM

If house music was really coming back to mainstream level songs like afraid to feel or BOTA would been huge hits in North America like they were in Europe

I remember ppl trying to put him in the big three convo

    Those ppl lost validation immediately

House/Dance about to run the decade and the underground rap scene will buzz this decade. I'm in for another movement in rap incoming

When times get rough ppl like to dance so yeah I definitely see this coming

  • Mainstream rap is mostly trash. Underground rap will always be king

Could the rise of street rap also be a factor at play? We all know these guys don’t have the friendliest image or brand

I said it in the sales thread but honestly shouts to KTT, we been tracking this story all 2022 and we were saying this all along. yes execs are quoted here but they ain't saying much diff than what we been saying around here.

Shouts to us, even if we fight a lot lol

    not even close

Man whos paycheck depends on radio hits is worried about Raps grown up phase

  • Oct 18, 2022

Most hip hop releases this year have been nothing special and we are talking about a year where almost every big artist has dropped or is going to.
There needs to be more effort put in the albums. We were served fast food too long and now the value of music has depreciated. After Pump, 69, Dababy etc i can see people being tired
