gotta understand that in 2020, that does not mean S*** when right now your banking on people to buy into you and support you when theres other issues at hand. Even without social issues he won't even bring up COVID, The President, the need to VOTE. Keep in mind, at the very least artists have had the freedom to say certain keywords in their lyrics as of recent ( Nicki Minaj "Black Lives Matter / Riot) (6ixnine/Cardi B "Coronavirus")

There is a constant issue brought up about Drakes authenticity and here it is, we're at the point where this album will bring it into full light.

Because to avoid the most basic pressing issues of the time because you still want to be seen as cool or what have you is weird and inauthentic for someone of his accolades. Like you spent all year holed up in your mansion in canada, avoiding all the protests, social unrests, riots, lockdowns, presidential drama, shootings, for you to talk about none of it? You can't prop up this thug/gangster image now and hide in your house braiding your sons curly blonde hair because its not safe outside, half the rappers he tries to emulate already in atl and la turning up like aint s*** change.

Even with the SZA situation he couldnt be a man about it, had to make a trash line with a lie so it could rhyme, only to have the woman speak to the public and clarify his lie to save his face.

You won't find Jay, Diddy or Ye in any of these situations and for every to be comparing him to them, he needs to grow up and put some substance to his art. I really feel like being biracial is a tremendous struggle for him, it seems like hes genuinely torn between two ways of being himself.

I'm sure that is a reason. He's "safe" to white Americans. Just like how they will say "I watch sports to not have to discuss or hear about race and politics bullshit!" it's probably the same reason why they prefer to listen to Drake over a J Cole, Kendrick, etc.

Something Drake fans refuse to understand despite me saying it throughout this thread, that's fine, but it is a bit odd seeing how he's had many easy lay-ups to say something without it jeopardizing his career and only make him look better.

I'm not expecting the world from a Drake political song, and I'm not gonna force him. But throughout the 2010s s*** was getting really heavy. While all his peers/contemporaries were out there putting out music calling out the bullshit and bigging up black folks, and also out there in the trenches trying to improve the conditions of the black race in ways they can or feel (Whether it's Jay Z's behind the scenes providing money to families affected by police brutality, or Kanye...doing whatever MAGA s*** he was on) you got Drake coming with some "Kiki! Do you love me!? Are you riding!? Say you'll never ever leave!"

It's just...issa head scratcher is all.

I can agree to disagree with most of you guys here.

It just stands to me that regardless of him being jewish biracial or in an affluent neighborhood hes still

• Black
• Capitalizes off of Non - Biracial BLACK American artists for Features
• Needs the image of black approval for white audiences. Lets be clear, if Drake did not connect to the black audience even in the slightest he would have flopped. Thats how it works here in America, black people really do determine your relevance in entertainment.
• Has a Black American Father
• Tried to FRONT like he had single parent issues with an absent father when his father said that was a LIE
• Copies every carrbiean/afro accent/dialect and vibe. But has yet to tap into his own VIBE of being black and jewish. Very Odd, and he won’t be able to keep that up much longer.

I think people are getting to the point where they know that Drake is going to hone in on himself for another album and i dont think people want that with everything going on. I do think people want to relate to whatever is on this album, but he will flatline if he thinks hes going to ignore everything in 2020 for another album about his achievements and success.

When some of you on here try so hard to push away drakes need to be more introspective about his blackness, his own culture and who he really is/his own issues, it just shows me and other black people that alot of yall on here are just racist white boys who listen to drake to be cool and say the n word lol. I swear white americans specifically love playing around with cultures/tourisim and whitewashing black people as much as possible. Just the fact that most of yall on here openly disrespect Kanye over Drake for no reason is evidence of that. If Drake never popped yall would still be ye fans who couldnt say that to your racist white Parents. Now you got drake and he can be more appropriate to talk about in the house. I digress lol.

Honestly Drake not endorsing anyone is something I respect him for cause f*** both candidates in the s***.

But what I'm saying is very simple. If Taylor Swift can start calling out homophobia, transphobia, racism, and still call Trump a piece of s*** while not losing any meaningful numbers to her fanbase...I think it's pretty safe for Drake to start speaking up too. You don't have to be an expert on the subject to call out some bullshit b.
