They also do have a state its called europe and the united states a lot of them have dual citizenship because they're not from the region

    Just to clarify,

I'm not pro-Israel or Zionist; rather, I come from a Muslim and Christian background and am POC.

But this is not true. Jews have lived alongside Muslims in the Levant for millennia, even before Islam was introduced.

The United States is a refuge for all, not just Jews, and the reason Jewish people fled back to Jerusalem to establish "Israel" was to escape centuries of discrimination against them in the US and EU, not just during WWII. WWII was the straw that broke the camel's back.

You also have to realise there are like 3-4 ethnic Jewish groups (Sephardic, Ashkenazi, Mizrahi, Ethiopian, etc), some that haven't lived with each other in thousands of years. Israel was made to home them all, but obviously made in corruption.

I haven't kept up with the s*** in the middle east post the initial October attacks but from what I've gathered seems like both sides (Israel and Palestinians) want the other eliminated completely

If you ask me seems like american youth has been manipulated into taking an anti Israel stance based on hamas propaganda. A lot of the messaging seems very antisemitic.

Personally i feel like American youth should be protesting things that effect them at home like cost of tuition or student debt

All these college kids just seem to he virtue signaling and joining a trend

I don't agree with the US backing Israel nor do i agree with the years of oppression the Palestinians have faced but tbh its not my problem. All i can do is use my power to vote and unfortunately Israel is the US's proxy into the middle east so they kind of have to d***ride in order to secure American military imperialism

This is the cost of living a privileged western lifestyle

I think it’s important to realize that Israel is a fabricated national idea while Palestine is an ethnic homeland

Wanted the one eliminated means a totally different thing from another

I agree. I believe Israel should abide to 1949 border.

If there was a way the people of Israel could have a state without the baggage id be okay with it. Like the Kurks should have a state

I wish I could have wings

How is it not. The U.S. has historically taken in people from all backgrounds fleeing whatever issue happening elsewhere

I get that the US can be safer for some than a lot of other states where conflict is more heavily concentrated

And I don't blame them for wanting to leave

However there is enough wrong with it to where I do not think it should be celebrated.

We must ask ourselves that if US is a refuge for all, whether it’s a matter of virtue or a matter of the US exporting violence internationally

How many times are they complicit or direct cause of those conflicts happening elsewhere though lol (along with the Global north so to speak)

I'm talking neocolonialism in Africa and so on...

Israel's genocide literally affects them, especially if they are 18 years old and paying taxes, as it is their tax money that is going towards aiding Israel's military when it could be going towards better medical, educational, and even financial services.

I'm nominally pro-palestine but cynical that any creation of a palestinian state wouldn't just result in a continuation of their forever-conflict, only with palestine bolstered by better iran/hezbollah support once they had control of their own borders. don't really think either side would actually be satisfied with realistic borders.

There have been many efforts from the Palestinian side to establish more fair borders. Israel doesn't want borders. They want the entire country.
