Close your eyes, and you can almost feel the rainbow confetti falling from the ceiling and sticking to your tears
Close your eyes and you see the Donda Cover
I’ve never watched a Fantano video in my life. I’ve never cared about this s*** you can go through my post history so grouping me in to whatever you’re talking about is incorrect. Last time I checked the thread title mentions two albums and CLB isn’t one of them so who really taking it personally
But I don’t like Donda or CLB so I legitimately don’t care that this is being rated better.
In fact, I think it is a better album. It’s entertaining, doesn’t overstay it’s welcome and sounds finished.
I think at this point Kanye is more interesting when making beats for other artists than crafting his own albums. What elevates them at this point is the drama that surrounds them, he transcends his own personal music because at this point it isn’t all that great on its own merits in my opinion.
I was a journalism major in college before changing my major to film/tv/radio production. In order for me to drop the major, I had to get signed approval from the department chair of the journalism program. Dude said "real journalism" died decades ago and it's more bullshit and opinions than legitimate facts and integrity these days.
I'm not gonna tell you to drop the major, but just know if you tryna go in being honest and/or unbiased, good luck finding a job. That's not the kinda stuff that sells or gets clicks these days unfortunately.
Investigative journalism is where the real good journalists at
Are movie critics better or do people just not get emotionally attached to movies the same way they do games and music. Hardly anyone s***s on movie reviews the way they do the others
Well, remember when the Joker was coming out & how liberal critics said it was going to inspire mass shootings & called it a movie for losers? So yeah, movie critics not much better lol
music journalism need to die. Y’all giving these freelancers money and making other people think their degrees making $$$

And I don’t care that it’s being rated higher either. Whether it’s based on the quality of the music or the political message behind it why do we (speaking generally) feel the need to throw a fit over this? All other mediums of journalism are trash these days so not sure why people expect music to be any different
Two reviews where they gave the ratings based on things that ain't music
ironic
F***ing idiots who blatantly let personal bias carry them shouldn't be allowed to call themselves "journalists". I don't wanna find out whether or not this writer has a degree cause if they do I'm f***ing dropping out of college
anyone who writes for a major publication has a degree lol
Yeah but people rarely get pissed off about it compared to music and games. The only exceptions are like when Black Panther was released and Star Wars s***
It came a long way honestly. Back in the day when a movie was critically panned that was a death knell for a movie and in some cases entire studios. They just couldn't survive bad reviews because people really relied on reviews to figure out what movie they'd go to see. People normally wouldn't waste their time or money to see a panned film. You'd start seeing studios put out more movies that "appealed to critics" because when critics liked your movie, that was good press, which potentially meant more money coming your way.
I'd say over the last...15 years or so the film review started to be taken much less seriously because: There's just so much s*** out these days, entertainment became more important than quality (IE: The Transformers movies), streaming platforms make it easier for people to just binge watch trash for just 10-15 bucks a month, and finally young filmmakers started taking the scene and pretty much made it clear they don't give a f*** about film critics.
This kinda attitude is slowly happening to music and music reviewers. I don't really see it happening to video games anytime soon though, and that's mostly due to hype culture and publishers and sharehholders relying on critic scores to determine bonus incentives for the game devs/employees.
wait til they find out lnx was a raging islamaphobe
Wasn’t he like 15 when he said that stuff? Cmon man
Lil Nas X really ain't no different than 6ix9ine. Controversy, trolling and attention over the actual music. Same product in different packaging

couldn't be more wrong. nas x is a genuine hit maker with a great ear for melodies. very talented individual
I absolutely hate what the entire music industry has become
Modern discourse is all about virtue signaling. It's why all companies break their arms to change s*** black for February and rainbow for Pride.
Montero gets a 10 because being so outwardly unabashedly gay in hip-hop (LNX is pop, but he's black so he can't be a pop artist. I don't make the rules) is brave, therefore The Independent gets the woke rub for giving it extra praise, and DONDA gets a 0 because collaboraring with problematic people is bad, so The Independent gets another woke rub for wagging their finger at Kanye.
It's why Captain Marvel criticism is handwaved away as misogyny because women are brave and strong.

that’s because it’s a lot easier to put some trash music out and convince people it’s good

Nas actually makes great pop music. 69 is pure trash. Pretty bad take tbh
