Sep 17, 2021I’ve never been off reviews more than now. There was a time when I’d get so pressed about album reviews, but we’re getting reviews within 8 hours of music dropping now. How? I’ve never been certain of any album in my life outside of liking or disliking it from one listen. How can you actually rate it like that so quickly? Not just Kanye but Drake too. Like I didn’t like CLB at all first listen, but after a week, I found some redeeming things. Donda I really liked but still found more to like on repeated listens. These critics are hacks for the most part.

Smacked VoodooI was a journalism major in college before changing my major to film/tv/radio production. In order for me to drop the major, I had to get signed approval from the department chair of the journalism program. Dude said "real journalism" died decades ago and it's more bullshit and opinions than legitimate facts and integrity these days.
I'm not gonna tell you to drop the major, but just know if you tryna go in being honest and/or unbiased, good luck finding a job. That's not the kinda stuff that sells or gets clicks these days unfortunately.
oop - i wanted to be a journalism major to provide a rare unbiased look at America and the rest of the world...maybe I'll just work on starting my own platform

grammies are a popularity contest literally. They (Grammy Commission including hundreds of artists) vote as a collective on what they consider to be the best but in actuality it just becomes who THEY’D LIKE to see win and not art itself.
