Saw it last night and the theater was surprisingly packed with new and older fans.
It was disturbing, funny, shocking, and sad honestly.
the part that really got me sad and disturbed were his manic outbursts. It kind of was triggering to me cause that’s how my mom was and after seeing that, it all makes sense how everything went downhill. Kim even said in the uganda clip that he didn’t do that a few years prior to them being together. I feel like we’ll never know exactly what went down in late 2016 to 2018 (aside from the incidents that we know) cause that’s overall the missing piece in who he became.
Overall I think it served a purpose into the raw view of who Ye is now and how much he does need help.
Gonna go again to catch the second half sometime this weekend, but of what I saw so far, the main takeaway I had is now all of the endless delays, unfinished songs, and radio silence when it came to planned releases he’s had since 2018 makes complete sense now. This nigga was focused on literally ANYTHING but music
Man what you let bruh sit next to you while the whole theater was empty
You would get up and move your seat an hour into your showing? Or be like "homie, go find somewhere else to sit" lol
Him just awkwardly discussing texts with Grimes out of the blue
That inclusion felt so f***in awkward and pointless lol

Bruh honestly I would just move ain’t no way you gonna sit next to me when the whole theater empty
but if he decided to move again I would have to confront dude about it and let him know why he wants to sit next to me in a empty theater LMAOO

That's fair lmao
Lmaooooo, nah, that actually happened to me yesterday
I’m hoping he was just doing something harmless with his shoe and I was just overreacting but in the moment I didn’t wanna take the risk of finding out especially in today’s climate
Nah bro, there’s no reason for him to get up and go to a higher row to fix his shoes. U made the right choice getting up out of there
Wont b able to make showing tonighht, can someone deacribe the gaga scene?
literally just a one minute scene of her outlining how the tour with Ye would play out
Seeing his mental health dwindle like that reminds me of what I went through with my mother during my childhood.
It stings to the bone.
Saw this one yesterday and man so much could said I wouldn’t even know where to begin tbh
This is a true character study, not about music at all. In all honesty this is just about a man who once had the entertainment, fashion and music industry by the balls and how he let it all get taken away from him due to blatantly obvious undiagnosed mental health issues.
Michael Che a real nigga
Bro I just saw a clip of consequence describing that situation with someone a few years ago on ig live saying he pressed michael che and told him back the f*** up 😂😂 lying his ass off

Hahaha
ok.
objectively.
i'm feeling a 4 out of 5 rating on this film.
one of the better films this year.
but i do think some parts of Nico's execution could have been more refined
sometimes it plays like b sides to the documentary
favorite part is Ye walking in Uganda with the giraffes and the mantra
there's probably a 5 out of 5 edit of all the footage that could be made

I feel that there’s so much to explore as a standalone movie it’s ineffective but for what it is I feel the same way
