You can be deployed literally at anytime
Why do people keep saying this lol. “You just threw away all of your dreams”. You do know that it’s not slavery right? It’s a timed contract that I’m voluntarily signing.

There’s not just one branch called “Military”. You guys are more interested in acting like you know everything than actually being educated on a topic.

i'm with you but my best friend went in for a job and got deployed to afghanistan within the first two years. every day he wishes that he didn't sign the contract and tells me that he was young an impressionable and the recruiters shouldn't have been allowed in his school to talk to kids like him the first place (maybe not your circumstance but still). he got deployed to germany which was supposed to be awesome and his dad died while he was there. he is filled with regret and a lot different now. he misses home like crazy constantly. i know you'll make your own choice but this is just some food for thought. i wish you the best

I appreciate you caring about my wellbeing. It’s important to hear both the good stories and the bad. I understand that in active duty, if a war pops off I will be on the battlefield. I’m ready to take that risk.
