Btw why didn't Eminem sign/approve Hopsin?
He did
On revival or kamikaze he said “I inspired the Hopsins and Logics”
Yeah think I might have to do Tom Macdonald tomorrow…
Good luck with that one
I appreciate how you actually try and review the albums and actually give credit to the artists when they do something good
Your not gonna find any of that with this guy tho. Not a single redeeming quality about anything he does lmao

Since I’m coming into these albums expecting them to be bad it’s interesting to find some good qualities in them, also since I’m trying to find the worst I try to act as devil’s advocate to think why an album wouldn’t be the worst.
Anyway I expect Tom MacDonald to be a cringe fest. Very unlikeable guy.
half of what he said "the left" agrees with like Epstein and Diddy

This is the first Hopsin album I'm listening to and so far I only knew Ill Mind 5, Sag My Pands and the dirty massage song. I fully expected this to either be awful or fun bad, but it's somewhere in the middle. I also think this has a couple of good moments / songs. Hopsin has rapping ability, and I have to respect him for gaining a fanbase independently, building a team of rapper and bigging them up in this album.
However much like other rappers I've reviewed he just has the corniest idea of how a rap song should sound like. It's very Eminem inspired because we either have funny/edgy songs like early Eminem or down to earth emotional songs (with poppy hooks). Or songs where's he's just showing his rap abilities.
The best of the worst in this album are the "inspirational" mindful songs. These are hilariously bad, dramatic and follow very dumb ideas (or badly executed / phrased). So I would really like the entire album to be like that. But really, it's either hit or miss bc there are moments that are bad but not funny, or moments that are good to the point it made me think Hopsin has a good album in him (mostly the emotional storytelling songs, but also some of his verses in the "hard rapping" songs).
Overall I think this is an unfocused, amatuerish album considering Hopsin was 5-6 years in the game at that point. But has sparks of potential.
Best: Ill Mind of Hopsin 7 (funniest song), No Hope, The Pound.
Worst: Fly, Crown Me, Ramona, My Love.

I agree with you
Like Hopsin is obviously corny and his music is bad but he’s not a bad rapper and I definitely respect his business hustle. Way cornier rappers than him are out here in terms of real man s***, but they just make way better music lol

Gucci mane was in his prime here so cant be bad off his contribution only

It still would be interesting to see it get a review tbh
I kinda hope op realizes one trashed album is actually a classic and single handedly changes the discourse around the album

"Better watch your back, it's a white boy summer" (first lyric in the album).
I'm listening to this album with tears in my eyes. This is the lamest piece of s*** I've ever laid my ears on. It's a gift that keeps on giving -- you think you're just heard the worst song, you think you've heard the lamest bar, you think you've heard the corniest hook, you think you've heard the worst alt right message -- you haven't. It just keeps on coming.
Tom MacDonald is a delusional persona. White guy making hip hop about alt-right conspiracies, making fun of Hollywood and mainstream media, while larping as a soundcloud rapper and making the most generic mainstream sounding music in existence. His idea of rebellious music sounds like Fast & Furious soundtrack music or sappy "inspirational' songs with pop hooks. And some of these songs are dead serious and include stories from his life. So are you genuinely making rap music or not?
Just the corniest safest s*** pandering to internet alt righters and evangelists. If you're mid at what you do, you can always become an "alt right" activist and get success. Tom is trying to do that while rapping. Just rap about anti-vax and loving Jesus and it doesn't matter how mid you are. If someone irl tells you they like Tom MacDonald, you can safely assume that person is an idiot.
As for Adam Calhoun he's just a generic rapper who is Tom MacDonald's friend. He's not as shock value as Tom and just occasionally agrees with him and drops a corny bar.
Overall I'd recommend this album to anyone who hates "woke people" or themselves and just want to ruin their own day, but not to anyone with a functional frontal lobe.
Best: Whiteboyz.
Worst: New World Order, Soldier, Free World, In God We Trust.
