The man has continuously told us that his music is directly informed by and influenced by his real personal life. So no, it’s not weird when his personal life is then getting criticized as it has a direct impact on his musical output

Drake has more than twice as much songs as Kendrick on DSPs and Kendrick still has more monthly listeners than him currently. From what I know Spotify counts all tracks an artist is credited on. Kendrick is slowly outperforming him since the beef ended it is what is it. That doesn‘t mean Drake doesn‘t have better all time stats nor do I think art quality = numbers, it will also change again when one of them decide to drop an album.

The thing about Drake haters too is what they’re drawing from is not anything that he gives us (his music, interviews, etc), it’s stuff they’ve made up or projected onto him. It’s the reason someone like Kendrick can say some s*** like “he lied about his religious views” when he literally never talks about his religion. Or when they say he’s insecure about being mixed when he clearly isn’t lmao

I can’t say that him rapping about 21 year old girls is weird as a 38 year old man because I don’t know him?

I can’t say that him wanting to fit in with the younger crowd as an established act by making music that appeals to streamer audiences is weird because I don’t know him?

Nobody ever implied or insinuated that we know the man personally.

Everything we criticize exists in his music as well.

The mob boss persona, the fake accents, the leeching of other cultures, the appealing to a younger crowd, the hanging out with girls extremely younger than him… literally every single one of those things exists in his discography

I live in LA so the circles I'm in are very biased but nobody f***ing with him anymore here

Of course there's normal people who didn't give a s*** about the beef and will listen to the 3 or 4 songs he has playlisted at any given time

We won't know what the masses think until his next album rollout. I'm curious how it will go. The bulk of his fanbase aren't even fans of rap so I don't think it will be effected that much

You have no clue how many people tried to argue with me saying Kendrick's output doesn't equate to rappers like Drake, Wayne, and Hov. Like nearly 3 of Drake's albums have almost a collective 80 songs
