Thought this was a funny little video as i been running this Fox Bd tape back over and over (might be hardest tape this year so far)

Lmaoo niggas be saying slick lil s*** here and there but dont collectively be saying nothing but s*** sound hard af
In the comments i like that someone said Wayne was this for the MySpace era and niggas used to say he wasnt actually saying s*** either lmao
That last paragraph powerful op
Like I mentioned in another thread when the ppl ready to have a real conversation about our dreadloc’d friend (we never will cause his fanbase sneakily are the most insecure fanbase of all time) I’m ready lmao.
I think most rappers don’t say s***.
Drake is to rap what Rupi Kaur is to poetry. Both Canadian too
Does she have audiobooks that aren't too long? This makes me want to check her out

I don’t think they were saying that as a compliment lol
Rupi Kaur poetry is for birds lmfao

She does, they average an hour. Her latest is probably 2 hours
For perspective that is equivalent of chapters 1-3 of Jane Eyre
I don’t think they were saying that as a compliment lol
Rupi Kaur poetry is for birds lmfao
we know whose fault it is but this not that thread lmfao
If this a Drake sub then we really just not gonna keep it real about the person that influenced him the most frfr then lmaklooo

lol I mean that goes without saying but Wayne never influenced IG, Drake did with IYRTITL - scorpion and we were all there for “Drake lyrics you can use as a caption” era and the jokes about Drake dropping more captions for niggas
#YOLO

you seem to have a really one sided view of Wayne man. Some of the points you make regarding his influence may have a degree of truth to them, but you seemingly write him off entirely and make him the focal point for all negative trends in rap. Which i think is both ahistorical and disrespects his rapping ability. If hes not your thing thats cool but you seem to just blindly hate on him at times when knowing you and your taste in music i think there's a lot of aspects of his game that should really appeal to you. And i think you know this as well but you kinda get lost in this one sided hater take on him

i am a stan and i wont hide it. Not insecure about it tho, if i was i wouldnt be nearly that diplomatic. You don't see me going around proselytizing on here about him cuz i understand its kinda a lost cause atp. it is what it is. I just think you focus on the negative aspects too much
i wanna hate on this take but i been listening to so much hov but you can tell the diff between real writers and niggas who can just get off a punch line, theres a diff for sure

Think part of it is Hov even in his bragging s*** is tryna get something across (whether to the listener or to the umpteenth person he’s subbing) so there is like…some purpose or some s***.
Other rappers you can tell just get off punchline after punchline EVEN IF SAID PUNCHLINES ARE VERY GOOD and every now and then it just…gets boring.
I think back to that one Lil B quote from 9th wonder song about “typical rappers”
this style brings its own value as funny lil things you think of in your life, not everything has to have a narrative
veeze got no reason being in this
oh s*** lol all of ktt's fav rappers listed no wonder this thread a ghost town my bad lmao.
fox bd has like one thread on here and barely anyone talks about moneybagg yo here what are u talking about
Drake is to rap what Rupi Kaur is to poetry. Both Canadian too
Nah this disrespectful lol
i wanna hate on this take but i been listening to so much hov but you can tell the diff between real writers and niggas who can just get off a punch line, theres a diff for sure
This is why it feels too heavy handed to say rap is completely dead or weak but even the bright spots dont hit the same as the Jay Drake Kendrick Cole Em etc prior elite mainstream pens
veeze got no reason being in this
Wym lol he may be the king of this style
For what its worth while i definitely feel Jay Em Drake etc type pens are more elite
It takes some type of skill/access to your flow state to constantly be able to come up with these lines consistently across hundreds of thousands of songs without completely repeating yourself even if the topics are the same
Also may be the hold up on new Veeze music lol especially after all those leaks
