It’s logical for Kendrick to be more hungry to instigate given that he used to be the up and coming hungry underdog and he’s more of a rapper’s rapper than Drake

I don't think that's baiting because the way I see it:
Kendrick called out the whole industry on Control -> Drake (was the only one that) got offended but didn't have the courage to directly confront Kendrick so he starts sneak dissing (thus is what I call baiting) -> Kendrick continues to be a real nigga responding directly to it.
From my point of view Drake is the one hurt and baiting. Kendrick is just responding to Drakes baits imo
