I was just leaning into what that poster was saying but I honestly don't place much value in being wished a happy birthday It's one of those kneejerk social norms people just do because it's your birthday. Like when people greet you and ask "How are you?/How was your day?" do you think they actually gaf about your emotions or how your day was? Do you value the relationship you have with them more just because they asked? I'm not going to hold it against anyone because they didn't wish me a happy birthday, it's such an insignificant thing to draw any conclusions from imo

im not even thinking about all that its jus brah our parents mostly are all way more old fashioned and jus stuck with that tradition for so long that its jus gotta be engraved in em too deep so it does feel weird imagining a mother not saying a lil whats up on their childs birthday idk
