Yesterday was my birthday (don't say happy birthday to me its not my birthday anymore)

No one except for posters on here said happy birthday to me, literally no one not any friends, family, acquaintances, nothing.

Naturally since no one even said happy birthday to me I received 0 gifts, not even a card from family

Also the day itself was awful. I was scheduled to work a 10 hour shift with a new person so that was stressful. Then I realized halfway into my shift that I had forgotten my key. Then once I got home I couldn't remember if I had locked one of the doors where I work, so I had to uber over there to check which costed me 20 dollars. I did lock it so I spent the 20 on the uber for no reason.

So here I am one day after my birthday having realized there isn't a soul that isn't on KTT2 that cares about me, and 20 dollars poorer

Your birthday is just like any other day. The universe don't give a f*** about no birthday, the sun rises and sets as usual. The sooner you realize that, the better

And someone wishing you happy birthday doesn't mean they care about you, someone not wishing you doesn't necessarily mean they don't care about you

Cheer up you still have your health and the gift of life. Not everyone makes it to whatever age you're at so be grateful

Just remind people your birthday is coming up and send them a birthday wishlist. Same way you told the community here and recieved happy birthdays, you can do the same irl and get everything you feel you didn't get

Lower your expectations, it's only really kids who get the focused, everyone remembers birthday treatment

Some people are obnoxious on their birthdays and wanted to be treated unrealistically

That being said, kinda wild no one you know irl acknowledged it being your bday

You're absolutely right, don't get me wrong, especially your family who's been doing it for years.

It's just in reality, people are busy and have their own problems by the time their mind gets around to remembering.

As you get older you have to rely on yourself for good birthdays. Like I will work any day and holiday, but I don’t work on my birthday or 4/20. You should have requested off weeks ago for your birthday and saved up some money so you could treat yourself.

i actually hate when people tell me "happy birthday" idgaf about my bday. This why i never tell someone when my bday is unless they ask.
