(including me) regardless of the delivery he still was incredible on them. Then he did

hes rapping so fast etc and then he became a meme with the chopper flow. Trust me mahn I was the second biggest em Stan on KTT1. His lyrics have probably gotten better, his technicality definitely has, subject matter is varied, beat selection is iffy but overall passable. The main issue is his trash ass delivery and hooks on his projects.

Em was mostly sober while Recording TES and 8 mile though. TES in particular is probably his most artistic album and he did that sober
Dec 16, 2020Em was really dope. I personally f***ed with prime Wayne more but his peak was undeniably great.
I miss when he knew how to invoke intense emotion in his songs like When I'm Gone, Sing For The Moment, Lose Yourself, The Way I Am, etc.
He sacrificed that for becoming more technical and being able to speed rap over time. It is what it is though.

everyone used to do that back then though, anytime they were remixing a song it was called “song name” (freestyle). it just meant it wasn’t a normal song structure, and it just contained a long form verse

Music is about as subjective as anything can be but certain things are just fact. Guys like Eminem, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne are GOATs. Even if you don’t like them some guys are just obviously amongst the best ever.
