I just created a Quora account and mfs are straight up obsessed with the dark triad, it's baffling.

1. You catch them lying about stupid f***ing s*** all the time, then when you call them out for it they'll threaten you or even try to use physical violence.

2. Does extremely risky s*** that puts others in danger. I.E. their driving and speeding fast and you all tell them to slow down but they wont.

3. "Charms" you into something and then uses you for it, after they go silent.

4. Never there when you need help, but you are always there for yhem.

5. Treats you more as a follower than a friend.

Most business moguls and CEOs are sociopaths or closet sociopaths. You kinda have to be in order to make it that far

I’m talking about normal people

they tend to work in environments where they have unsupervised power over a vulnerable population. they usually work in extremely structured environments they can exploit to abuse people.

they tend to expose themselves with sick jokes that only they could find funny, and they say sketchy things, which, interpreted a certain way, betrays the abuse they are actively committing on another person.

they have manipulative personalities and will work to destroy anyone who is genuinely kind or shows charity to other humans through concern trolling and gaslighting, and if retaliated against, ultimately physical violence.

I think this on the extreme end but it does make sense

the biggest tell of a sociopath is that they almost always display a blunted affect, low emotional facial response.

many learn to pretend or perform facial emotions, but that is also a tell, because there is a disconcerting "feigned" sense to their facial tics.

there are also benevolent sociopaths who work in opposition to their nature. i consider myself one. i've never been wrong about a sociopath, and i have worked to sabotage them at the risk of my own mortality.

Basically they say what they need to say to get what they want until you’re no longer a need for their own self interests

yes, but a true sociopath will take that further. what you are a describing is an opportunist. a true sociopath will leverage power to abuse others.

most sociopaths i've come across are sloppy and give away abusive qualities.

however, there are some that go virtually undetectable, like the angel of death, who was killing people in nursing homes and went undetected for years, i think.

Borderline personalities are sociopaths that cry imo.

I think narcissistic and borderline personalities operate on a subconscious level it's just how there brain is wired. Doesn't excuse any of there bullshit imo.
