Niggas wanna have they hand held all through life.
Fr
Niggas think once they down they cant bounce back
there's an aspect of getting yourself in the right conversations / networks thats part of the hustle
He was born in like the biggest city in the US
Yes of course there's a level of hustle required, but I highly doubt Jay Z would be Jay Z if he was born in Jackson, MI.
19, lives with parents, wants to know if being broke is a choice
Perhaps one day op shall grow up
what are you even saying rn
Dame Dash did an interview 6 years ago on the Breakfast Club talking about ownership/being a boss and being financially stable. Because it devolved into a screaming match with Envy, people weren't receptive to the message.
Two years later, Jay comes out with 4:44, echoing the same remarks as Dame Dash, but because it's Jay, people will listen.
OP is intelligent and has his heart in the right place, he just gets passionate and belligerent at times.
It's really, really hard to get out of being poor. It's expensive to be poor. With that said most people are terrible with money and buy a lot of s*** they don't need. Usually poor people or lower middle class are the worst at this.
I grew up poor, both parents were the worst financial role models possible. I had extended family with money so I saw both sides of the equation.
I know grown ass men who was working for 7.25/hr. Once you get on parole you HAVE to get a job and the job market not looking good for anybody with a record.
Its only a "choice" if you have options.
If you still working that same job for 7.25/hr and you're not being forced to (financially or physically)
You gotta ask yourself "Do i trust myself to make $58+ a day" If not then get used to smelling like bottom of the bag fries.
being poor can simultaneous be dictated by your actions and still not be “a choice”
you framing this mad weird like you want to put blame on poor niggas. i know who you really coming for, middle class folk who blow through their checks. i hear you!
but you don’t have to have a malicious attitude towards all people who are poor.
you can make all the right decisions and still be f***ed. you can f*** up and still be ight.
determination is a huge factor, but ppl underestimate just how much luck and chance dictate people’s future
lol you gotta move with mad finesse when you got these s***s on
I use to never buy designer or expensive clothing. But my brother, who does (and makes much less money than me) showed me the value of that s***.
It really feels good bruh. And does well for your mental mind. I feel great right now, f*** a regular hoodie. I wear this s*** around the house bruh. It's love
Honestly the expensive clothes is expensive for a reason, s*** looks nice, fits nice, and is quality materials.
Like literally, whenever I'm looking at clothes, I don't see brand or price at all, I just strictly look at what I think looks dope and it's always the name brand expensive ass s***. That s*** was designed to be nice and the price reflects it.
Bro you can work for a month to save $300 and lose it all in 10 seconds due to a speeding ticket or some bullshit
Brakes started acting weird one day. Ended up needing like $2,000 in repairs (got in an accident because of it too).
:)

Dont speed
exactly. i have a certain amount in my checking account that i consider to be a $0 balance, even though it’s not 0, specifically because it forces me to save money
every time i get paid i try to estimate how much i will need before my next paycheck (including just extra money i don’t plan on spending) and then put the remainder in my savings account which i never touch
i also have “keep the change” which rounds up all my purchases and puts the difference in my savings as well
Damn, might have to look. Into that. I remember reading something about that change round up s*** and it sounded like a good plan.
Dont speed
I bent three wheels driving 20MPH (all within the span of two months).
Wasn't speeding. S*** happens.
Wheels either cost $300 to fix (with a chance they don't truly fix) or $900 to replace.

I worded it weird but niggas know what i meant
Okay bro come on
I never do more than 5 MPH over the speed limit lmao
Doin 70 in the right lane and using the left lane passing up bum ass niggas
Making sure i leave with enough time to travel
