It’s honestly a tough discussion to have about DIY type stuff because everything is ultimately subjective

You said there’s people who do DIY stuff good and people who do DIY stuff bad but that’s a subjective statement

“Did they dirty this mix up good or bad?” Is subjective, The difference is a clean mix is objective. Liking it or not is subjective tho

I never said good or bad I said translate the feeling better which is completely devoid of good or bad, and it's completely subjective and lives or dies in my own brain, it lives solely on my own human emotions and how something makes me feel

I loved this movie from a few years ago called "I'm Thinking Of Ending Things" with a brilliant screenwriter-director but I felt that a lot of creative choices in the photography direction took me out of the immersion of the story early on cause it was so clean cut and stylised and it didn't jive with the unsettling nature of the film

it was very well acted and the story is incredible so I bought back into it but it highlights that what I perceive as authenticity and what feels real to me is more important to me than what can be deemed "objectively" as being perfect or clean

This is all a construct, where the discussion of simulacra begins and ends sometimes is counterintuitive to just letting the emotion of art wash over you, I have to choose to submit to my earthly desires sometimes and just let it be!
