People don’t get rewarded for just providing value, they get rewarded for already being rich

I feel like your perspective of it is much different regardless, and its useless to say he doesn't want what you think he wants which would already be inaccurate

You think capitalism works for you and speaks to your needs and what you think people need the most? idk where you live or how often you've been employed, or any of that, i just wonder what basis you would compare the two

same could be said about me as i've never lived in a "socialist" state

that ain't none of my business tbh,

I'm talking about large scale s***, preventing resources from getting to where they need to be cause they wanna hoard s*** and not fix the issues we got right now, Wealthy not paying taxes, corporations literally having more human rights than the actual breathing working class humans

not having an air bnb or something or loaning your f***ing lawnmower lol

And I don't think a system that is built on profit above human well being can be reformed to prioritize the latter. It wouldn't be called capitalism anymore if it did

socialism is inherently unfair. if i start a business and hire 2 employees why should they get 2/3rds ownership of my business?

I'm only speaking to what I've been looking into up until this point,

a lot of times people's definition of what it should look like is more broad, especially when different cultures adopt it to different degrees

I see it as the process to making things better (this may be more in line with marxist philosophy, considering it the transition period, this isn't consistent with some other peoples views on it though). People's priorities in general would need to change for it to function well imo

I feel like you see it as the most basic ABC 5 year old definition of socialism.

terms such as individual freedom and equality of opportunity may be meaningful for capitalists but can only ring hollow for working people, who must do the capitalists’ bidding if they are to survive.

This fundamental conviction nevertheless leaves room for socialists to disagree among themselves

On the centralist side are socialists who want to invest public control of property in some central authority, such as the state—or the state under the guidance of a political party, as was the case in the Soviet Union. Those in the decentralist camp believe that decisions about the use of public property and resources should be made at the local, or lowest-possible, level by the people who will be most directly affected by those decisions.

u can do some encyclopedic research so you can broaden your discussion about socialism and at least know the ideas behind it are more diverse than you're giving them credit for

also thats fine if u disagree that's actually good cause you're sticking to whatever it is u believe in but i really do think it's more complex an issue than you're viewing it, and that limits your argument - i'm no expert, im new to the game when it comes to a lot of this theory in detail.
