its fair and no one is forced to do anything etc
i feel like thats an extreme oversimplification and doesn't really say anything.
"no one is forced to do anything?"
bruh instead of investing in better help for people who don't have a home, they end up putting spikes on the ground where homeless people were found to sleep.
People are essentially forced to work jobs they don't like because there isn't any opportunity for upward mobility for a lot of people, they're trapped, and thats how its designed.
u go to work, u get squeezed of all your possible emotional, mental and physical energy, then u wanna forget, u go home and get drunk or self medicate,
then u wake up with just enough energy to do the same exact thing over and over and not try to make a better life for yourself because the cycle is depressing
people don't go to the doctor because it'll bankrupt them of everything they have in the bank.
the surplus is the profit, because the labor is valued as little as possible to go to the worker, instead of a larger amount of the money going to the worker who created the product or provided the service,
meanwhile u got boosie for president as your avi bruh that s*** is kinda funny but makes sense given the intellectual value of your posts
if i own a lemonade stand and i let u sell lemonade with my supplies for a salary why should u get the profit?
it sounds like you want socialism how do you plan to achieve that?

you do realize you can have capitalism with a welfare state... that would still be capitalism
one thing that i will seriously add is that late capitalism is reliant on unfathomable levels of exploitation and poverty in the global south, in which data is manipulated to create the appearance of "improving conditions".
if there was a movie in which more than half of the world was oppressed and destitute, we would undoubtedly cheer them on in toppling the system.
but on KTT2, we laud capitalism as "human nature" and "successful" then go buy a PS5 that was built by someone who eats dirt cookies to deal with hunger pangs
What did you type this post on
trash. only a bit better than fuedalism. majority of our days are spent lining the 1%s pocket. our primary function is to create relationships and to survive. we create more more more more more than enough to survive through our labor but, we get paid for only a fraction of it. they key is to own the means of our production.

how do you plan to own the means of production?

Just plan on reading more for now, when I can. Talking to people, talking about how things can be better. Thinking about what our labor is really worth, and how most people spend such a large percentage of their life at work, they should at least be compensated properly for giving up that much of their life. But in the eyes of capitalism we’re all just serfs who just keep the numbers moving for people already at the top
I know I put a lot of different ideas into one place without going into detail and it’s prob confusing, oh well u asked
how do you plan to own the means of production?
U could explain it like you own a piece of your workplace and that’s common practice, more collective accountability and ownership instead of people at the top just having dominion over the rest of the workers

a lot more company are offering esop plans, where employees get a stake in the company, essentially becoming owners themselves
The issue with our markets today is that the economists in power believe subscribe to the neoclassical schools of thought
I would say that they view all wages as fair in a perfectly competitive world because if workers didn’t, they would all quit, or if wages raised, there would be an endless supply of labor
I think they are in belief that we are in an equilibrium of sorts since there are millions of people employed.
I personally believe neoclassical economics is bs and lives in a fantasy world, but I’m certainly not a Marxist/socialist either
I’d say I fall under a more realistic ideology somewhere under the heterodox economic spectrum
I do like some Austrian ideas, but sometimes those are a little too completely free market for my taste

how do you plan to own the means of production tho? Socialism just isn't possible in the USA at least for our lifetime (without civil war)
its fair and no one is forced to do anything etc
this is untrue like by definition lmao
china liberalized their economy decades ago when deng xiaoping rose to power and (mostly) unfucked the communist state mao implemented. that, and when farmers broke the law in the 70s. although the name is CCP, they're about as communist today as DPRK is democratic. they never did fix the authoritarianism though.
i also wouldn't call cuba thriving. surviving maybe, but not thriving
how do you plan to own the means of production?
there are many means to the same end; this is where a lot of theory comes in; marxist-leninism, marxist-leninism-maoism, anarchism, etc -- they differ over the ways to get there, but in the end it all leads to a socialist revolution.
More like being a completely idiotic grifter incapable of critical thought while defending a barbaric system = blocked
