    For me a skip is more of a metaphor. A song that doesn't hold up to the standard of quality of the rest of the album. So I'm not literally pressing the skip button when the song comes on, but it's just a song I enjoy less than what it's surrounded by on the project

    I feel this is the most reasonable definition.

    Sao Paulo an Meet Your Padre are great examples for me.

    I can enjoy both songs within a full album listen, but never listen to them by themselves.

    Yeah. Maybe I've been brainwashed by "muh album experience" but also songs I disliked on the first few listens end up being my faves in the end
