Dude tried to make two mature albums, Recovery, which everyone hates, and Revival, which people hate even more.

Revival is one of the worst albums ever made, any genre

and straight up like barely being able to stand up or talk properly while recording the verses apparently, like on the brink of ODing during the sessions

He wanted to prove to the media that he could make an album without shock value so he made tes. Too bad 8 mile came out after and started his crippling d*** addiction

Looking back at it, he didn't have shock value on this one, only certain beefs continued on the album but that's it

How? Take my f***in' eyeballs out and turn them around?

Kurupt, Busta rhymes , the outsidaz, wu members also had godlike flow, basically that was the standard for a significant amount of rap of that era , but I didn't go back to TES in recent times so give me your picks for eminem godlike flows I'm not doubting he has it, I just want to listen to that em again

Here's a few examples that in my opinion showcase how amazing his flow once was. Especially compared to now. He used to just float over instrumentals during this period. It was a combination of having his voice at it's absolute peak + the amazing flows.

Eminem 1999-2003 and Mac are proof that just because your white and a rapper, that doesn't make you automatically corny.

The problem is, 90% of white rappers music are watered down, bland and sound like a poor imitation of someone better.

When he rapped about having incest with j lo or something, I cringed a little
But that's personal preference I guess, I was never here for him name-calling all that much to say stupid s***
If it's funny it gets a pass but some of it was eh

I don't think it got that bad until after Proof passed. Encore obviously was d*** riddled during the later sessions, but it hasn't completely spiraled out of control yet. He was still able to tour and do press like anyone else.

The 2000s didn't gaf about things like that I believe
This era had gwen Stefani using Japanese girls as minions/props

The 90s/2000s black rnb acts influenced the scene alot, thus others dressed like them sometimes too... The fashionable sportwear took off in the mainstream

The Marshall Mathers LP is brilliant, much better than TES imo. Unfiltered raw anger and emotion on that album. Marshall Mathers (the song) is by and far his best song.

Big Weenie lowkey has a hard ass instrumental and it would've been a killer track if he has recorded it during TES era.
