What’s everyone got on the October horror watchlist?
we are nearly there
I always start with The Shining. It gets October rolling for me
I'm a classic Horror kind of guy but I do like most of the non cheesy and tasteful modern horror. The most recent example I can think of is Hereditary. Anyone got any suggestions that I might enjoy? Open to anything

Hidden gems, B movies & schlock all month

I didn't care for Hereditary but you can check out I Saw the TV Glow
Saw some horror movies recently.
Exhuma is neat. Not as gripping in the 2nd half though. Really like these Asian folk horror movies. Recommend The Medium for those who liked it.
Need to watch Sleep.
Liked the original Speak No Evil. Haven't seen the new one and don't plan to for a few months. The movie was mostly in English so don't know why they remade it anyways. I really liked the acting by the man from the bad family
The Incantation was fun too. I thought that ending idea was quite creative.
Rewatched Tumbbad at the theatre. Slightly overhyped, but still really good. Love the simplicity of the movie.
Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight is like the perfect movie if you like Evil Dead. Have seen a few episodes from the show, didn't know they made a movie too. Highly recommended if someone is looking for some good old campy horror for Halloween.
Started off with rewatching some classics that I haven't seen in many years: Ringu and the original Carrie. I appreciated both of them muuch more than I did the first time around and it doesn't hurt to see them in 4K now.

This instantly became an all-time favorite for me
the news report in the beginning of this had me rolling
also the "Supercrack" scene
now thats a damn movie poster. mad decent late 80s slasher too, seems to not get much shine since it ain't been given the vanity label bluray treatment yet.
Dope poster
Never seen this
Change that
super campy and batshit crazy if you’re into that

best of the 3 films, anchored by the excellent performance of heather o'rourke in her final film role
yo i just watched dead & buried last night which is by the same director as this
I gotta check this out asap

I love dead & buried, grandpa joe killt that role.
I’ve only started watching horror movies this year. So I’ve only seen the newer stuff: the Quiet Places, X trilogy, Late Night with the Devil, I Saw the TV Glow, Immaculate, Abigail, Longlegs
I’m about to check out both of the Speak No Evils but what you recommend as horror essentials for a beginner into the genre?
