    El Nigga

Miss the 90s/2000s man. This PG society getting offended by everything has in some ways ruined hip hop. Hip hop used to be about saying absolutely anything. Hell, Miami rappers during the early boom of the south were making some absurd tracks that New York rappers would look down on cause they were so raunchy.

Your favorite rappers of the 90s killed, robbed, raped, and more in their songs lol Eminem did all of that in every song lol Rap was as visual as it was auditory. Rappers told stories, songs were like movies. if you WEREN'T offending somebody, you were doing it wrong. Now, the most controversial rapper is.......Kanye West? Rap is missing that edge ngl. Cotton candy soft.

And the kids turned out f***ed up because of this.

We lost mad niggas in the 90s to violent shootouts because of this.

Niggas be looking back at the “golden era” of hip hop just to ignore all the bad parts cause yall was single digits during most of that.

A gay artist, yes. But iLoveMakonnen got blackballed for coming out.

He was blackballed because he had a falling out with Drake

KTT2 is not a good place for this.

Which is odd, considering Kanye was one of the first to actually speak out against this s*** in hip hop. And mad niggas was calling him sus when he wore the kilt. Would yall say “he’s policing the culture?”

Mods should lock this tbh lol.

People dying every day today in the streets. You think cause rap turned into what it is now s*** changed? lol na. Now its just back like it was in the 70s/early 80s. Where real s*** is happening in the streets but its a party genre so nobody gives af/nobody notices.

It took a Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5 making a "The Message" type song to open the eyes of the world to the streets. The eyes have been taken off the streets in rap for more than a decade now.

Niggas should focus on making intelligence cool in hip hop everything else will fall into place naturally instead of having people that come off as outsiders pushing their opinion as law. These baby voice eee ahh ooh niggas being acceptable is an example of natural change.

Except now niggas give a s*** more.

Desus & Mero talked about it once on they podcast but The crack era and the recovery of said era during the 90s resulted in a lot of negativity and tough guy s*** in hip hop. Look at the Source Awards.

The s*** that we call “soft” is actually normal. Normal ppl aint supposed to be mean mugging every nigga that pass you by. Normal ppl dont assume everyone they see has the worst for you in mind.

Everybody ITT thats is literally caping trauma.

Not everyone was tryna rap in the 90s like now.

Back then the crack game money was a lot better than picking up mics.

The dudes that made it usually were connected though.

We went from the kilt, to dresses, to having purses, chockers, painting their nails, and now eyeliner. Lipstick next.

In the mainstream it’s more addiction than gun violence. Which leads to a whole nother conversation that judging by the amount of d***riding (no pause cause i think some of yall on this sxn really got a crush on dude) in that future thread with them naked strippers, KTT2 aint ready to have either
