I mean again this site is borderline dumb as s***, so no.
I've seen much worse on reddit than on here
Would you believe a ktt post that said they had an encounter with this man? Because I wouldn't
there are literally one or two people in this thread who said they saw this guy over the years. did you call them liars?

Again, maybe consider reading this article. I'm not saying that homeless people don't have rights or that homelessness isn't a symptom of a broken system. What's going on (as I said) is that crime ties into homelessness, which is driving local businesses away from where I live. I don't understand why you are trying to refute these claims considering you have no idea where I'm even located.
Would also like to spot out - I'm not talking about the unhoused who are actively seeking out help for their situation. There's a large population of homeless that are addicted to d****, violent, and commit crimes. Nobody wants to talk about how Reagan basically accelerated this by changing the Mental Health Care Act in 1981. But it's true that letting these people out of mental hospitals outright caused a huge systemic issue in our country.
This theory doesn’t even refute my original refuting claim, that homelessness is not an originating cause for social discord (it is a symptom of larger social inequalities). This theory (which has justified many systemically racist police policies) is about how the perception of crime promotes further crime. Well, in order for crime to be perceived, it must first be acted out. So, this theory is about a stage that presumably accelerates social discord rather than locating an originating impulse for crime writ large. It is not interested in uprooting, understanding, or even naming the originating causes of crime and criminality. No surprise it has led (and continues to lead) to abuses of power
Also, Wikipedia wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but still, this does at least give me a clearer sense of what is informing your perspective! As for your other, somewhat reasonable comment, yes, I can only speak generally without knowing your exact city. I highly doubt you live in some unique space where the homeless are somehow truly to blame for the city’s financial problems. There are homeless people, tons of them, in all of the major cities that are also national/global financial hubs. And there always will be, until politicians (and their voters) get serious about focusing on the causes of financial instability and not the vulnerable populations that represent the symptoms of that instability

ratemypoo is one of the oldest existing sites on the internet. you wouldn’t understand

It’s used as a response on this site, usually as a roast, the person is forced to look at themselves in the mirror.
i really dont wanna derail the thread too much but I think it's disingenuous to act like we post worst stuff on here than what gets posted on reddit

Would you be willing to debate this over voice chat?
