Give me 1 (one) 2pac album as consistent, tight, focused, exceptional, and conceptual as ready to die. One with 0 weak songs (ignoring interludes obviously)

    Literally MATW and 7Day Theory

Strictly 4 Niggaz is also very cohesive lol, although it only has like 2 hits

The no cohesion meme is from his post death albums and AEOM - but also 2apacalypse his debut isn't really cohesive as a project and has many different sounds

    Stop it

Me against the world is not as good as ready to die, it’s more front loaded. 7 day theory has weak songs. Neither have almost every single song as an iconic incredible song

    Name the weak songs

White manz world, life of an outlaw, hold ya head, toss it up r def weaker than the rest of the album
It gets bogged down by bad mixing, unnecessary features making songs a lot longer than they need to be, and can get formulaic.
Still an amazing album but it ain’t no ready to die lol. Basically every single song on ready to die is equally as classic

Blasphemy is one of the best songs ever tho despite the annoying 40 second intro

  • May 11, 2025

MATW 2nd half has dear momma, death around the corner, outlaws, f*** the world and Lord knows

Idk how that's only front loaded

Toss it Up is literally a hit

White Manz World is literally one of most known deep cuts and scathing commentary

Life of An Outlaw is iconic

Hold Ya Head I'll give you, although the beat is hard but it is an average 2pac song that can fit anywhere

    1/4

Big also got weed carrier verses from Junior Mafia we can talk about, if we gon use that as a metric

Ay blasphemy got the worst mixing on there that s*** is amazing so idek why I said dat ignore I said dat

However, none of these r as good as ready To die either way. Just because toss it up was a hit don’t mean it’s better than any song on ready to die except friend of mine

NYC specifically Hot97 also did a lot of propaganda against Pac after Big died

That's literally where the "Pac isn't lyrical" narrative started n the blown out Hennessy jokes n s*** started too, even tho Pac was considered lyrical when alive and people like Nas told them they're wrong after Pac died

Then in the 2000s they started saying his catalog has too many "misses" even tho it was beloved alive and still selling like crazy

Then the 2010s they started doing the "people loved him for his spirit, not the music" bullshit

Literally like some Cold War s***

They actually started the “they loved him for the passion/spirit despite his lyrical shortcomings” in the 2000s too, when Jeezy came out there were a lot of backhanded comparisons made in MTV lists and s*** like that saying that jeezy was like pac because he wasn’t a lyricist or talentedbut had passion and work ethic

Thank you for the insight on the hot97 stuff tho, it’s clear that there’s propaganda at play with this, the narrative is crazy

I always saw it as pac technical wise as a rapper esp in his flows wasn’t on the level of a big but he was a better writer and had better delivery & content

Hold ya head is a generic PAC song, toss it up is fine, life of an outlaw is too long, white manz world is good I just don’t like all the rnb hooks it’s cool but kinda preachy and melodrsmstic at times, not the biggest fan of the beat. First and second verse is cinema though.

I think a lot of it comes down to the hooks and beats to me.

i mentioned Hypnotize in my most recent post. I'm just saying, California Love is one of those songs that almost everyone knows instantly, rap fans and non-rap fans. My 65 year old Tom Petty & Carlos Santana loving dad knows California Love word for word, that's my point

He knows it cuz it’s an interpolation of an old song. I know cuz my dad did the same thing
