Top 3/Big 3 was only a thing 2017+. Anytime before that it was top 5 currently or top 5 of all time. There was never just 3

This guy literally just made this up in his head!
    Thanks for making my day!!

    What’s the age cutoff?

I'm old myself bro I'm just not being obtus when it comes to how popular these artists are. And I notice most of the people undermining just how influential they were are older posters.
To me it shows either people are purposely turning the other cheek because they didn't make music THEY enjoyed. Or people just being out of touch. Just an observation.

A decade ago, three rappers emerged at the top of their class: Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole.

Each of them have approached their careers in very different ways in the years since then, but all three have made lasting contributions to rap. Today, they’re each still on top of the game, and they’ve done it on their own terms. It’s why they’re referred to by many as the “Big 3” of their class.

Every year since 2010, there’s been friendly (and sometimes not-so-friendly) competition between the Big 3.

    Hard to Swallow pill:

The big 3 era stagnated hip hop.

Made the dumbass audience think you can’t like more than 3 people. This site’s stan wars are proof of that.

More than three? You can only stan one

Nigga called X the next pac

I think the way that X impacted this new gen of kids is similar to how Pac or Cobain impacted their gen of kids. it's more about the impact but whenever people hear this, they automatically think folks are saying Pac and X were equals musically which isn't the point bein made

The next time a true rap superstar comes along, we'll all know it. We won't have to ask or wonder if he's next. These guys had some talent(especially X), but they were more mid tier than superstar. Playboi Carti was the ceiling for X and Juice imo
