Also which one of yall(s) posted my We Skipped a Generation thread on Lipstickalley and reddit ive seen it
No one in the mainstream makes anything worth standing out or the things that are different don’t become successful enough to go number one
I will ring your f***ing neck out the next time you not only mention me to be sassy - but the next time you spin any point or statement I’ve ever made to fit some weird narrative you goomba peabrained condescending little s***
might be one of my favorite posts on here
Crazy take but if Pop Smoke doesn't get death stimmy, he is more of a Desiigner 2.0
death stimmy and designer 2.0 is wiiiijjjiiiilllllldsfffyss. still got time to delete this my good brother in christ
this stat isnt even accurate. unless u count "see you again" 2015 didnt have a rap #1 either
Crazy take but if Pop Smoke doesn't get death stimmy, he is more of a Desiigner 2.0
He was the first one to get to the mainstream with the NY Drill sound but could actually rap and had Virgil/Steven Victor co signs
Even without getting into his music quality this just isn’t true lol. He had way more interest and s*** going for him than Designer did. Designer had maybe 5 months and a song and a half lol

If I thought vomit out a s***ty take, i'ma have to stand on it (unless its harmful or something like that)
This is so true and incredibly depressing.
S*** shoulda been so simple, how did we get to a point where it’s borderline impossible to try something new on a big scale
y’all don’t wanna hear it but late stage capitalism
Companies would rather fall back on something they are familiar with for easy $$$ than risk doing something that could potentiall lose a lot of money
So you just avoid that by making sequels and reboots off something you know is successful
Also the same reason why FTP games have become increasingly more riddled with MTX
Even companies like Blizzard with Overwatch, literally switched to OW2 simply to sell more MTX
also in 2012 there were no rap #1s
there were albums though it says albums or songs. This criteria is stupid though. Because going #1 is largely dependent on who else is dropping.
hip-hop in its rock's early-mid 2000s era. its either played out corny with everyone doing the same sound or just old heads wanting music that fails to capture the magic of the past. Nobody coming out with lasting impact.

Nah get the f*** out of here.
They just waiting for billboard to change the rules back to include bundles. They saw Drake and Kendrick numbers not doing as well as they were years prior

Yeah and no
We definitely wouldn’t have got some of the amazing stuff from the last almost 20 years without it
But I do somewhat agree because back then if you really wanted to do the s*** you had to go spend big money on a setup. That definitely would’ve gotten rid of the lil pump types
That’s my only problem is people who have no business making music have the ability to do so and it’s put us in the position we are in now
