there is a sort of "industry plant" version of film / tv where you read a story about how some script got plucked from obscurity (usually bc someone spotted it on the blacklist) and then you realize the writer was repped or their dad or uncle was somebody
I think the blacklist used to me more meritocratic, but like all successful things, once it became a moneymaker, it became more competitive to get on it, and competition means that those who succeed will be the ones with more resources and structural advantages
Yeah I mean there’s plants everywhere and fake stories. I just don’t see it as “absolute waste of money”….I just don’t view anything like that to be real. I’m way too confident to let hard s*** scare me

That’s the right attitude to have. There’s always a chance
Even with the industry plant stuff, lacking advantages just means you have to work harder. And a lot of people have advantages and don’t still don’t succeed in film / tv / business etc. Just keep writing and creating stuff and putting it out
