honestly I prefer that to the old system

streaming got a ton of flaws but I think it's SO much more accurate in terms of seeing what albums actually get played, what songs are actually the most popular week on week and etc

like it makes sense that someone like Drake would have 20 songs on the top 100 the week of an album release

and its cool because pure sales couldn't account for how often people are still listening to music years in the future but streaming does so now we can kinda see what albums stand the test of time
