First of all, that's wrong because men were sent to the Wall for raping someone, and supposedly Stannis even castrated rapists in his camp.

And secondly, even if that were true, it's irrelevant, because in the eyes of the audience it's still an objectively despicable act and any character who does it is automatically evil. Imagine if they showed Jon Snow raping someone, for example. I promise you people would not find that s*** endearing.

the brothers were both on the same page, meleys and sunfyre both got crushed by vhagar falling to the ground. so the show did a better job of making it more dramatic imo. however in the book this is a second hand account of what happened so the show had scope to change it up imo.

The behavior of that type of person is the result of a combination of several factors (biological, psychological, environmental and social). It's not as cut and dry as you suggest.
