HBO shows just have that extra prestige aura to them and how they re made/production values
Netflix is more trashy fast food entertainment and no matter how much they spend the s*** always comes off cheap from the writing to the effects acting ect, ESPECIALLY their movies

Idk how that would work financially or contractually but they did it with Euphoria so maybe they can figure something out. (I’m aware the Euphoria specials were extremely small scale)

yeah I think they could even give the same budget as HBO and it'd still feel second rate
there's just an expectation that we have for HBO products that doesn't exist for Netflix. THIS season, with all of its warts, would be a crowning achievement for virtually any Netflix show
