Bias. It’s kinda obvious they want viewers to root for Rhaenerya - which is okay but does lead to some nonsense in writing and the marketing of team black vs team green etc

The Laenor thing was goofy if they werent gonna do anything with it, but Daemon is still a c*** and Rhaenyra's worst acts don't come til later anyway. Too early for whitewashing I think.

This kind of a dumb take because yeah at this point in the story Rhaenyra is clearly the "good side"

She is the rightful heir and got her throne unrightfully taken from her. She was the one who was done wrong

They've also "whitewashed" the s*** out of Allicent as well. She's basically the evil step mother in the books. Aemond and Aegon have gotten some sympathy as well. All the characters are simply more fleshed out and human.

This issue was always going to arise when they changed the ages of Alicent and Rhaenyra because they wanted this whole friendship angle. Alicent hates Rhaenyra in the book

I put it in quotes meaning I'm fine with the humanizing aspect of the show. I think the whole whitewashing thing is bullshit. All of these characters are barely characters in the book.

nitpicks aside, this show is so good. i have been finding this season to be incredibly well written and produced
