Well tbh the reason why HBO scrapped The Long Night show is because they knew they couldn't f*** up again , the stakes were too high so anything less than great wasn't gonna cut it
The HBO exec even said that The Long Night pilot wasn't bad at all, but it didn't give him that same special feeling that the GOT pilot did
