Even Ali relapsing for 18 months

On episode 5 of my season 1 rewatch but so tempted to just skip the remaining episodes and watch the new ep

The episode dropping early really f***ed up my rewatch schedule

Don’t skip you’ll enjoy this episode a lot more in context

I tend to give this show s*** for always choosing style over substance. However, this special episode stripped all of that style away and proved to me that beneath it all Sam Levinson really cares about what these characters are going through on a deep level. I think these special episodes will ultimately be a huge strength for the series when we get back to the usual frenetic pace.

This is a perfect description of why it worked so well

In ep3 that scene with rue and fez at the door.
That s*** is so real and so so so powerful.
    Great ending to the ep

That’s the episode Zendaya submitted and (most likely) the scene she won her Emmy for

i think that was the best episode of the series thus far

  • Dec 5, 2020

weed definitely can be a gateway d*** but only in the same way alcohol can be

One way weed especially can be a gateway d*** is if it’s illegal because the person you sell your weed from also sells harder d****. If it’s legal that’s not the case

But yea weed isn’t even physically addictive you’re never gonna do wild s*** to get a fix of weed

  • imagine waking up to zendaya kissing you from your ankles to your head

  • Dec 5, 2020

thinking about that little break mid episode

what a brilliant breather but not sacrificing any weight of the episode

Also this episode kinda confused me, did it expose Rue as an unreliable narrator? Because I could’ve sworn her and Jules got “Rules” tatted on the gums?

With next week being from Jules’ perspective, I feel like it might really expose some of Rue’s lies about what happened and how things happened

  • Dec 5, 2020

    Damn I’m lowkey Rue

Yep she absolutely is an unreliable narrator.
I watched a behind the scenes of this episode and the director says that Rue is indeed unreliable af and the lip tattoos never happened

    It was just her imagination
