You posted that story, I responded to you saying I’m surprised you think this is so funny seeing how tame some of the comments people are getting fired for are and then you disappeared. Now you have paragraphs about this dumbass story in multiple threads. You are the polarization of ideology.

You’re certainly extrapolating multiple things that I didn’t say based on pre-conceived notions.

I never said that both sides are equally evil. Many of the people on the right, especially the far right, and most of our current government is ACTUALLY evil.

But selective outrage and lack of accountability fully undermines credibility. The left can be dishonest and do bad things, it’s OK to admit that. That doesn’t somehow justify the evil on the right.

There is no conspiracy theory here. Hasan himself, on stream, said he’s training his dog to sit in a spot on camera for hours at a time and uses a vibrating collar. At the very least, we can accept that to be truth from his own mouth. So even if he doesn’t turn up the vibration all the way to shock her, it’s already weird and borderline abusive to use a dog as a streaming prop. Do I think it’s the worst thing anyone has ever done? No. Do I think it’s worse than ICE, genocide, systemic inequality, etc? Obviously f***ing not.

At the same time, it’s ok to hold the opinion that doing that to a dog is bad. It doesn’t instantly make someone a right wing conspiracy theorist, man.

Hasan has explained how he takes care of his dog, He keeps her on a strict schedule and doesn’t let her lay on the floor for extended periods of time. Multiple people close to him have said how ridiculous this whole thing is. There is no “gotcha” moment that proves he abuses her. You’re saying this isn’t a conspiracy when they’re calling this whole thing Kayagate

Yes, tribalism and moral inconsistency is present on both sides. That’s a reflection of society, not some kind of ranking or equivalence of evil. The point with the Biden thing was that it was also considered a baseless conspiracy theory by the left until it wasn’t. Even though, it should have been evident to everyone the entire time. It was pure selective blindness. Does the selective blindness on the right lead to worse outcomes for us than selective blindness on the left? Most definitely. But that doesn’t justify having selective blindness anywhere.

Of course Hasan is going to justify his treatment of the dog. If you don’t think forcing a dog to sit in one spot for hours daily and taking action if it moves is at least borderline abusive, then we just have a difference of opinion. You can frame that as a “strict schedule so she doesn’t lay on the floor” but the actions remain the same.
