Why’s that?
I can’t recall the last time a big budget fantasy-adjacent series lasted that long outside of Game Of Thrones. I think the people with nostalgia for the movies will probably tune in for the first three or so seasons and then they’ll be happy. The new audience probably won’t want to wait 7+ years to see the story when the movies are right there and still stand the test of time.
Idk I just think the attention span for shows on streaming is a bit too short to see this through to completion, especially given that this one will only become more and more expensive as the seasons go on

Stranger things went for five seasons over a decade and was seemingly as big as it was at the start if not bigger than ever by the end
This is Harry Potter man. They gon do all 7 seasons what are we talking about

I could be wrong. But I’m having a hard time seeing the viewership numbers staying solid for a decade for a story everyone has already seen

Makes sense but idk you should see how popping the Harry Potter areas are at universal decades in. You still can’t get on those rides without hours of waiting

I went to the park on day 1 of super mario land. Rode the mummy and harry potter rides more times than i can count that day

This. I even went to universal studios japan and they go hard for harry potter over there.
Feel like there’s a very slim chance this gets through all 7 seasons
Lol, one of the most successful franchises in history. No chance they won't adapt all the books because of low viewership numbers, enough eyes are guaranteed
Holy s*** they’re dropping a BTS documentary on Sunday

The BTS documentary increased my confidence in the show even more. We are in good hands.
I'm still not sold on the Snape casting but I guess I'll wait to see his performance....
