are you outside the US? it's #2 besides deadspace rn, it's been in that position between #1-2 for weeks. in goal top sellers its #3 behind dead space & CS:GO. In preorders it was #1 on PS5 and #2 on Xboxthe minute preorders went live. And this is just digital editions. the launch is gonna be massive

nah it obv doesnt, it usually peaks either Q2 around E3 or Q4 around AAA & sales season, but Q1 releases can carry sales hard throughout the year. Elden Ring releases on Feb 25 last year and this is Feb 10. so the idea of a Q1 release being a top seller so long as its super hyped (which this is massively, if anything the "controversy" has only helped its visibility) isnt a stretch.
