I’m still very early in the game but it runs excellent in performance mode on Series X. Solid 60fps so far with no frame drops

No it only makes sense to pay for reviews for games they know are already going to make a LOT of money because corporations don’t want some of the money, they want ALL the money. If something looks like it is going to flop theres no point in getting caught cheating over trying to pay for that. Gotham Knights probably hardly broke even and they probably fired the whole staff involved.

That’s what I plan on doing, the game I’m most hyped for this month is Like a Dragon: Ishin, and this is mostly something to dig into until then (because of my GameFly trial).

We don't have to make a conspiracy bout everything fam. It's easy to believe the game delivered. There are plenty of hyped big games that underwhelm on release and get criticised. I'm sure you can think of a few.
