I don’t mind it being equipment but it really looses that classic halo feeling when you can just sprint at will like in COD or any other shooter.

It takes something from the spirit of the game to me tbh.

Sprint ruins map movement and allows people to make stupid decisions with little to no punishment. You’re either ignorant of this or you play with your index fingers on the sticks.

Bro there’s no way to properly implement sprint into a game that never needed it. It’s a s***ty mechanic for a game like Halo. It’s that simple.

All you said was that it was a s***ty mechanic and it’s basically impossible to be implemented right (can’t explain anything to anyone with that extreme view point) . Not sure how that’s some well defined point that i can’t argue against . You can def shrink your head size back down.

I won’t be writing off the entire game based off of a Sprint function but i would admittedly be disappointed in it being in the game. It’s not something that fits the aesthetic of Halo personally for me, it’s always been inessential

Sprint allows for people to go around the map with no worry of punishment.

You could sprint to your enemy team’s side of the map, get a free kill, and then sprint right back to your side of the map without any type of negative punishment to keep you from doing something so brazenly stupid that the old Halos would punish tf out of you for.

Power weapons? Just sprint right to them when they drop. No need to setup beforehand.

Objectives like king of the hill? Good luck when everyone in the game can get to you in less than 5 seconds from when they spawn.

Can’t shoot? Just run into someone and spam melee them to avoid that hassle!

Let’s also ignore that map design takes a total hit when you add sprint. No more jumps that require a more technical understanding of the game. Now you just get a running start and you’re flying to where you need to be.

Y’all can enjoy the Call of Duty hybrid s*** that’ll die out within the first 3 months of release, but that’s exactly the type of s*** that put the nail in the coffin of this franchise.

I just caught myself before i wrote paragraphs on paragraphs about running in a halo game with someone that doesn’t even see a glimmer of hope in the mechanic. You can just accept my answer and move on or tell yourself that you words were so powerful that i got stumped 😂
