But I don’t think saying an artist put more effort in is fair . But he did produce on tracks and likely put in more effort . The charts and numbers outside of maybe reviews is never about effort . He could work a year on a single song day in day out and someone only listens to it once because it doesn’t help them in their day to day . Grammys ideally would be the music that helps us in a pandemic or at all. Not just where popular but effort and all you are talking about . Once it’s entrenched in capitalism in a streaming only model nearly where we listen on different platforms and artist barely paid per stream . It becomes what makes the artist happy or therapeutic for them to make that may hopefully help our day to day too . So when people come online or argue numbers it’s like but what is helping you or what are you hearing before anyone tells you it’s value
