How is doing what Benny’s doing—jumping on stale production that’s been done a dozen times—“growing”? I get that he’s ‘branching out” by working with different producers, but he’s lost the bit of originality in sound that made Griselda stand out to begin with imo.

I do think Griselda as a whole shouldn’t do what Gunn’s doing, which is more or less recycling the Daringer loops, but at least try to evolve their sound, like Gunnlib will do hopefully. But it seems like Benny’s just getting more formulaic and mainstream-sounding as he goes on. Maybe and hopefully TT4 will be more interesting.

Just saying it’s not hard to see why someone wouldn’t rock with what he’s doing now as opposed to what made him stand out in the first place.

yeah cos with benny new s*** it’s not like going more mainstream is the problem it’s the fact that the songs just sound really run of the mill even with a harry fraud or a hit boy producing. it’s like you can’t feel like he doing anything different here you coulda gotten this album in 2006 lmao

I mean coincidentally going mainstream does seem to be the problem. Like yes his music is more accessible to more fans now, which is clearly his goal, but he’s just not playing to his strengths over this basic production and boring features. Not giving up hope for TT4 yet tho..

idk man everything about Benny feels like a dude who should have dropped in the early 2000's. Like its obvious that's his favorite period, so I get why he's going for a more mainstream sound. Im surprised I didn't hear a Just Blaze intro on a couple tracks already.

Wes on the other hand would sound f***ing horrible over some glossy production, I can't see dude going in that direction especially after jumping off that Shady deal.

i think it’s the problem for his newer music but i respect he’s the one who wanna go properly mainstream cos he got the most potential to. the others just don’t have that ability and it’s working i mean burden of proof was on the hot 200

No doubt. He’s obviously becoming super successful and recognized, which is well deserved, but the give and take of that is that his s*** is watered down

It’s really whatever, cause people clearly love it so all the more power to him
