Yeah the mixing on BOP was great, did this even get mixed? Sounds bootleg as f***, but not in a good 36 chambers kinda way
mixing can make or break something for me sometimes
maybe im just picky, but some people going on and on about a beat being fire as f***, and it sounds bootleg tier when i listen lol,
benny needs to go back to guru for his next big album. thats guaranteed going to take the album up a notch everytime. and maybe we will finally see jay-z on something down the road

When it’s obviously bad like this and the two jay elec projects last year 100%, totally puts me off the album when it’s THAT bad
I don't have a problem with Griselda going with other producers, but I do have a problem with them losing their sound. That sound being a fresh and innovative take on Underground Hip Hop.
As the In-House producer, Daringer has a lot of room for improvement but will definitely level up at some point. But producers like Harry Fraud and Big Ghost really don't add any value to Griselda who I think lives or dies by their sound. I don't think Benny will ever understand that.
And I'm not talking to you new Griselda fans that think Plugs 2 is Benny's best project either.
Who the f*** mixed this s***? I'm fuming. Benny and Fraud both killed it but s*** sounds so lifeless
I think John Sparkz mixes all Fraud's stuff.
I can't think of anyone outside of Capo being better at rapping in his 40s than in his 20s. He killed that verse
absolutely

Agreed honestly. It’s kind of like they’re jumping the shark working with outside producers. It definitely didn’t work for WSG at all but Plugs 2 isn’t bad at all imo.
Overall I agree though

Yup. He’s doing nothing interesting between BoP and this. He’s a good rapper but is sounding so meh over this production. Nothing cinematic or engaging about it imo, like on TT3. I wish he’d rap over beats that actually complement and elevate him
Hope TT4 is refreshing cause this ain’t it imo

lol plugs 2 is not bennys best work imo and i am a big fan of everyone on the team this right here except for a few tracks might be his worse
Fat Joe pretty clearly let the -er fly
pretty sure it's not the first time he's done that in a song

Who Made The Sunshine lacked the samples and stuff that make his music interesting. It was so bare bones compared to what he normally puts out

Oh, thought you meant about outside producers?
But yeah I agree—samples are such an important part of the sound.

Yup, its easy for people to critique the Griselda "sound" and even the rappers don't want to seem pigeonholed but they need to play to their strengths. Airy bright production like Hit-Boy just doesn't suit them. Im not the biggest Benny fan but Conway and Wes have an aesthetic that lets them shine, would hate for them to lose that.
Conway over some Roc Marci production tho
Harry Fraud is so f***ing great, why doesn't he get more attention or more opportunities to work with top tier rappers...
He deserves a lot more attention
I do kinda worry about them starting to stray too much from their classic sound.
This project is pretty damn good but it's not as good Plugs 1 or Burden of Proof even.
Fat Joe sucks and totally ruins that song. Live by It is just okay. French Montana sucks. Jim Jones was great here.
I generally like Harry Fraud. This is mixed poorly tho.
Survivors remorse, overall and plug talk are dope. Intro is good too
The single cover for Thanksgiving should have been the album cover and the album cover should have been the single cover for Thanksgiving

Let these niggas grow man. If they never switched their sound up yall would complain about that. These dudes are true mc’s you cant keep them in a box

How is doing what Benny’s doing—jumping on stale production that’s been done a dozen times—“growing”? I get that he’s ‘branching out” by working with different producers, but he’s lost the bit of originality in sound that made Griselda stand out to begin with imo.
I do think Griselda as a whole shouldn’t do what Gunn’s doing, which is more or less recycling the Daringer loops, but at least try to evolve their sound, like Gunnlib will do hopefully. But it seems like Benny’s just getting more formulaic and mainstream-sounding as he goes on. Maybe and hopefully TT4 will be more interesting.
Just saying it’s not hard to see why someone wouldn’t rock with what he’s doing now as opposed to what made him stand out in the first place.
