there is plenty of superhero content in the final 3 episodes. Just say constructs. you have changed the goal post from lanterning, to superhero content, to constructs to being confronted with constructs being spectacle.
You shift because you can confront that you wanted more SPECTACLE. Which is perfectly fine but SPECTACLE cost money and they blew their load in the 5th episode of the season.Could they have spaced that action out? yes. Would it solve the NARRATIVE AND DRAMA problems that exist in the show? No. If you are bored by the DRAMA parts of a DRAMA show. Perhaps the show isnt for you. Yes it has superheros in it yes its based on lanterns. But it always sold itself as a drama. True Detective not every episode was action packed. Not every episode had spectacle either.
Just because its superhero , comic book content I dont believe it needs to reach an episode per episode quota of looking cool. Because again there is plenty of superhero content in the final 3 episodes.

Also the drama being the focus is not an excuse for being boring. The first six episodes were focused on the drama and were incredible. The finale was focused on the drama but was boring as s*** and uneventful

LUKASthe second last episode was one of the most emotionally heavy episodes of the whole season, one of my faves tbh
the scene with Stewart hallucinating and the Halogram opening up to him
my main issue with the finale is how Kerry reacted and did what she did. Felt it had undertones of misogny/bad female writing
but the scene he had with Noah was another great juxtaposition of nature vs nurture. Stewart fighting against his programming of how he was raised to Noah’s actual DNA. It completely makes sense to why there wasnt an actual fight or grandiose battle at the end

No one in this thread said people were dumb for wanting a big battle. No one in this thread even mentioned a big battle. You brought a twitter argument to KTT then continued it with your thoughts on the final 3 episodes being boring because they lacked "lantern things" "constructs" "supehero things"
then when multiple users objected to that you said "thats not an excuse I want more of that"
while barely discussing the contents of the actual episode and story decisions outside of the blackmail angle which everyone agreed didnt need to happen or didnt add much to the story besides showing he takes accountability in one sense for the damage caused.
you have proceeded to farm arguments with oblivion. Then when someone does respond to you calmly its "I respect their opinion"
even though I have been saying the same thing that the emotional moments are worth more than reaching a quota of superhero things for people that find the emotional core of the show boring.
Why should a show where you find it boring during its most emotional episodes seek to please you?
