I honestly don't know how I feel about having a second season of Lanterns. The first season was alright. It had tons of writing issues but had bright spots overall. But visuals clearly suffered from the lack of budget.

If its gonna be more of the same, I'd rather they stop here.

Worst parts for me:

The mystery wasn’t that great by the end

Finale was fine but episode 5 felt more like a finale with the stakes. This kind of just felt like wrapping s*** up and John seeing people for the last time. Some good moments in it though.

I wish it wasn’t compared to true detective cause by the end of the show I really don’t feel it’s true detective like at all. Not every murder mystery is true detective like.

Really good character driven show though and made me care for John. Not sure if Kerry ever appears in anything else but liked her character mostly too.

I believe it will be good for these shows that they don't get compared to prestige television period, cus it sets expectations that they can't meet. This show with True Detective, and Penguin with The Sopranos I know it's some folks who love Penguin like that but it is nowhere close in quality to The Sopranos

John and Guy vs Red Lanterns with Sinestro in the background trying to ressurect Hal and insert parallax in him (pause) and then final ep Sinestro tells atrocitus about Noah and you get a rushville 2.0 fight but Noah dies saving everyone in town and actually takes on the manhunter form John takes atrocitus to the guardians and atrocitus tells them about the blackest night prophecy and how he helped sinestro finish creating his new yellow lantern corps since the start of blackest night is new lantern corps appearing and fighting so John is asked to stay on Oa by ganthet the only actual good guardian played by peter dinklage and yes I know peter dinklage isn't the only midget actor but come on who else anyway what was I talking about oh yeah sinestro ressurects Hal with the parallax entity inside him teasing the sinestro corps war for season 3 but it'll actually be a misdirect and halfway thru season 3 it'll turn into a adaptation of emerald twilight and Hal will betray sinestro and attack both the sinestro corps and green lantern corps forcing the guardians to give a captured sinestro a green lantern ring so he can fight Hal but Hal kills him easily and destroys the central green lantern battery guy survives by becoming a red lantern and John creating the blue lantern corps with ganthet but ganthet has a final green lantern ring he sends to earth as a back up plan that lands with Kyle rayner or maybe Jessica cruz since I think I saw somewhere that James Gunn doesn't like Kyle rayner or something

I do wonder what the grounded plot would be in that situation though. Feels like yes it would be on earth but Guardians would come for revenge or to take over earth. At most he would form a father like bond with Noah. LOL PETER DINKLAGE he hates being type cast but he also loves money

I legit have no idea what other ground based stories they could do best hope is they see the 19 million viewers per episode and just do a green lantern corps movie after giving John a introduction for the casual audience in man of tomorrow
