Crazy that John actually paid that girl especially after she lost her leverage

Great finale but rewriting the oath is insano i was thinking he was gonna say the sinestro corps oath as a twist what the hell

it tied in with the themes of the season quite nicely i'd say

Green Lantern could've been DC's star wars tbh there's just so many stories they could've done with them

Been yelling about this for years. I kinda get why the trust wasn't there but man. Not only that I feel like it coulda been the spark for a DC event easily.

For what its worth this still was a good show and a lot of people learned more in 8 episodes than they might have in a couple hours. Something Lanterns related merely having an enthusiastic audience is more than what we had before.

  • it will be interesting to see how they navigate John as a character in the film and tv world. there's a real risk of things getting too muddled.

Also I do wonder the extent of John’s role in MOT especially after the finale

Hal’s death feels soooo… I mean no one gets punished. No one cares. There’s no fanfare. No nothin. Just dead and gone. Does anyone else in the world care how and why he died? Or the world and the guardians and everyone else just moved on?

My hope is they saw the reception and greenlight a movie with John and Guy they could still stuff like red lanterns or even sinestro corps war and could even have sinestro ressurect Hal as parallax

    It's so bad I can't believe it

  • Holy s*** this finale was terrible. And I actually loved the earlier episodes

    |HIS DEATH SCENE PLAYS OUT LIKE A F***ING COMEDY ARE YOU KIDDING ME

  • mjpplus

It kind of reminds me of what Marvel did with Ant-Man when you think about it

True, but feels even more bold here given most of the GL comics hinge around those characters, but they could redo it with other ways and fill ins

Here’s the thing with the movie, they probably shouldn’t have the movie be a direct sequel to the show

Not everyone has HBO and kids especially probably wouldn’t have seen this show leading up to the film.

I mean they could explain it all in the film but it would be exposition dumpy

I'm wondering why can't each season be set on different characters within the lanterns lore? season 2 could be about kilowog for instance and just expand the corps universe with seasons of television while having movies for john and the main DCU characters etc

She does something that isnt even within her character

All those years of being a hero on the planet and I didn't get the sense that his jailing, release or death actually were actually communicated to many people.

Was wondering this when Kerry was waiting for him when he got out

gonna watch the podcast to see who decided these story choice just so I can properly slander
