Mark Moschinowally's just a better personality to work with in the structure of something like a justice league too.
He's kind of young and can brush up against the trinity, but he's also heartwarming and goofy.
I'm not an expert on barry since they brought him back with final crsis, but imo it just made the flash family wayyyy tooo convoluted
What was more convoluted was what they did after Rebirth with re-introducing old Flash family after getting rid of it and creating new speedsters in New 52
I think post-FC was somewhat manageable but now they're always in crisis with who to prioritize.
Wally took the helm as main DC flash again the last few years so i think any future movie (which is probably a long, long ways away) would lead with him.

Meaning that a younger Hal isn’t out of the equation, we’re just going back to the past Pre-Superman. This’d be a great way to do something that’s been untapped in most shared universes.

totally agree with u, in my opinion DC after flashpoint and the new 52 (at least in terms of continuity) has been a total s***-show.
They had such a great compact thing going with post-crisis/new earth.
Keep it grounded, sprinkle in silver age stuff when you wanted to get weird...It all flowed really well.
Now it just kind of reads like (mostly thinking about Scott Snyder's justice league run and runup to Death Metal (I liked his batman run don't shoot me)) the writer's just sweating until he can write the big new action thing to happen that will make no sense and make you miss decompression

I really like this idea. A Hal prequel in his younger days. The DCU jumping back and forth with different time periods for different characters would be really cool

That episode of watchmen with them both in the bar is still one of the best things I’ve seen. If damon even goes 25% that level within the dc sandbox then I’m so hype
