Who do you think is realistically possible
I’m on the Aaron Pierre train myself
throwing some names in a hat based off previous rumours and just who’s young and on the radar rn
Kelvin Harrison Jr
Damson Idris
Aaron Pierre
Micheal Ward
Shamier Anderson
David Jonsson
Trevante still the perfect choice but it’s never happening
Nah the show is framed as a True Detective style story
So it’s gonna be Hal and John for the season. Just don’t count on Hal making it past the finale
Plus that wouldn’t make sense with Hal being John’s Abin because Guy is already in Superman
i have no idea what the greater lore of the DCU is gonna be. knowing some of the framing they're probably gonna have Superman come up against a version of the JLI, with spats of Infinity Inc sprinkled in. (could also see them doing a what's so funny about truth justice and the american way here too)
Didn't know about the true detective-ness of the whole thing, but tbh I don't see it working out as a one to one.
Also I hope I'm wrong on all this. I want there to be a great green lantern anything so bad. Just don't really know if they're gonna let this ride.

Man he needs a huge role in one of these idc what it is
I doubt it. For John Stewart’s first two introductions it was always positioned from the standpoint of someone needing to succeed Hal. So you don’t need to make Hal his Abin Sur, he always was that to a certain extent. Except with recons where they make them age mates.
are you talking pre, or post crisis continuity for John?
Also im making predictions from the point of view of like what would a kind of dumb writer who's briefly read the wiki pages of each character would come up with.
Not what is thematically appropriate for the characters
chandler issss waaaaayyyyy ttooooo old for this. Hal should be at max mid 40s
like experienced, but can still learn things vibes. Not late 50's 2 days from retirement he's gonna get killed in the war of light
For real tho. Seems like they're forcing the typical "old cop mentors young cop in detective story" angle on Green Lantern when its never had that basis really. John and Hal aren't thaaat far a part in age.
This is the oldest Hal i've ever seen anywhere

green lantern corps has always been closer to the army then like an actual police force. I don't really get the angel they're going for with this
They’re about to run this look aren’t they?

oh most definitely.
Season one ends - Hal looks in the mirror, Parallax smiles back vibes
This means that the Flash in the DCU is likely going to be Wally isn’t it…
actually would like wally for this
he's way too old for the role but I gotta be honest i'd take Kyle Chandler over any of the proposed names that've been circling around, except maybe James Marsden.

And I mean pre and post crisis. Hence why I said first two intro’s
These aren’t dumb writers though, they got Lindelof on this mf.
And yea his work has been kinda stupid in the past but he got the best show of the 2010s to his name.

I’m down too tbh
Barry has the stench of over exposure (9 seasons of TV and a movie) and a mid reception overall.
Wally would work as a palette cleanser

F*** it let’s go!
The Barry Allen Glazing has been crazy, but the movies never got him right too so it makes me sad.

Sounds classic to me

Yea the leftovers, I love watchmen but I’m not giving it that accolade lol

wally's just a better personality to work with in the structure of something like a justice league too.
He's kind of young and can brush up against the trinity, but he's also heartwarming and goofy.
I'm not an expert on barry since they brought him back with final crsis, but imo it just made the flash family wayyyy tooo convoluted

I was gonna say lol
Also why does everybody act like the justice league are all supposed to be around the same age, they can do that s*** cuz in comic books cuz its drawings lol
RDJ being 10-15 years older than Chris Evans was never too distracting.
