It’s AC/Infamous tier, don’t expect a Witcher or GoW, if I was you I would wait

the open world in this game is more exciting and varied than the open world elements of god of war and Witcher 3

Those games had great stories and characters but tsushima excels in its rpg elements, exploration and world building.

GOT doesn't excel in rpg elements over Witcher, it's not even an rpg

You earn exp to level up your character and you spend ability points to upgrade your characters skills

You can find and upgrade armor to change your stats, and customize it so your character looks how you want

You increase your HP and resolve (basically stamina) by completing tasks throughout the environment like finding hot springs and completing the bamboo mini games

You collect resources by exploring the environments and then spend the resources to upgrade tools, carrying capacity, weapons etc.

There are merchants to buy/sell goods

You can even choose what to say in conversations

    These are all RPG elements

    It’s an action-rpg

I love them, the character ones and the mythical tales are some of the best missions in the game tbh
