just found out that the spare ending is canon (ending spoilers)

not really a fan of this Shimura is getting either way by the shogun for failing multiple times

I really hope we get to see a new protagonist for a sequel. Imo Jin was a decent character and his interactions with his uncle were intresting but i dont see how his character or his motivations would work if the next game plays on the japanese main islands.

Just got this for Christmas

started last night. played about 4 hours and had a good time. played maybe another 3 hours today and I'm slowly starting to be reminded of why I don't fw most open world games

It's not dead imo. but you def run into the same stuff over and over again. It's like samurai far cry.

Shogun need to catch these hands next tbh

Got it on sale too. I don't want to call it a dead world yet since I've probably only explored a quarter of the first island.

I'm talking more about the open world formula in general. I just prefer a more linear style or smaller open areas as opposed to massive singular areas

Game is pretty tho and combat has been fine so far. One complaint would be that I'm playing on hard and it still feels a little easy

Just copped today, excited to start

same, the story is picking up though

Once you get to Act 2 the story picks the f*** up.

Especially during the last story mission of Act 1.

One thing I didn't like was grinding all the side missions, there's so many when you consider how massive the map is. They all feel the same after a while (wash, rinse, repeat).

The story still good. I think I'll appreciate it more when I do my NG+ and just do story missions only without having to worry about side missions.

Also, little tip for anyone who completes the story and saves the side missions for after.

Wear the Mongol gear so you're not spotted riding around. That s*** got annoying quick when I was just trying to ride for the last few things I needed for the platinum.

Think I might just focus on the story missions with this game then

My problem is I’m odee OCD with games so playing this s*** I have to keep pressing start to make sure I cleared the fog on that area of the map. Especially with there being no mini map. And I’m looking for all the fox dens and shrines and s***.

I dead spent all my supplies just to get the armor upgrade that clears 30% of the fog. First thing I upgraded

I totally focused on finishing all the side missions before I progressed with the story.

Made it much easier in the end tbh
